I was plagued for a few years with it.
Tried orthotics, all kinds of inserts. It was so sore at one point that Crazy Guy had to put me under to give me a shot. The only things that worked: Never, ever, walk barefoot on a hard surface, even for a moment. Never! Ever! I put plush towels on the bathroom floors and always wore shoes on the wooden and stone floors.
And wear a more narrow* shoe. I did those things and it was totally gone in a week. Has not returned.
The company in the link will map your foot and choose a proper soft insert. Some of their shoes come with the inner sole that matches your foot. Many comfortable Brands. [Post edited by TechMomof2 at 11/29/2017 3:47PM]
